First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church is a Church that honors the simplicity of old fashion worship of our Lord and Master. Our supreme desire is to worship God according to His plan given to us in John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”.
Our name is descriptive of who we are. Landmark is a term taken from the Old Testament, and is a command to not remove the markers that denote a field’s dimensions and declares ownership. God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, called men from the shores of Galilee. These men were the Church that Jesus called out of the world. This church was given certain landmarks so that the Church would be recognized. We teach and preach these landmarks.
Our name includes missionary. We are mission minded. We reach out to our community with the gospel. The Great Commission includes the words, “go ye.” We might not be able to go to Indiana, yet we financially help a mission there. We might not be able to go to Mongolia, but we, through offerings, were able to help the translation of God’s Word into the Mongolian language.
We have a puppet ministry for the children at 9:45 am on Sundays. These puppets teach lessons to our children that are valuable in everyday life.
Our emphasis is truth. We desire our teaching and preaching to be truthful according to the literal Word of God.
We invite you to come and worship with us in Spirit and in Truth.
We hope to see you soon!
