Pastor Matthew Boyd grew up in a pastor’s family and on the mission field of Uganda, Africa. He was saved at a revival meeting as a child and became involved in church ministry at an early age.  Pastor Boyd attended Shawnee Baptist College in Louisville, Kentucky where he met his beautiful wife, Kylee. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Patriot Baptist University and he and Kylee married in 2011. Pastor Boyd then served under his father for seven years as youth pastor, then as assistant pastor at Sycamore Baptist Church in Jackson, Michigan. In February of 2021, God led Pastor Boyd to Davenport, Iowa to become the lead pastor of Northside Baptist Church. The Boyds have five adorable daughters: Stella, Talia, Olivia, Amelia and Alexia.

Joel Collison was raised in a Christian home with godly parents and they attended a Baptist Church in the suburbs of Chicago. At a young age, he trusted Christ as his Savior, and later, while at a church family camp, surrendered his life to the ministry. While at Bible College, Joel met his wife Lydia, and they got married in 2015. Joel and his wife were very active in ministry while attending college. After graduating in 2017, God  led them to Iowa to serve at Northside Baptist Church. In October of 2021, Joel became the Assistant Pastor at Northside where he heads up the Outreach Program, Youth Ministry and Music Ministry.
